Finished (I wish)

I was really hoping to finish several projects this weekend.

I did finish reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Book 3) and then I watched the movie.

I figured out the final pieces on getting my dishcloth exchange partners package out. Yeah! I didn't take any pictures (not that I would post them until she gets it) So maybe once the package arrives to her she will post some pictures and I will link to her blog.

I worked a little on my monthly KAL dishcloth. Man, it's a hard one. I ripped it once already and then started over, luckily I stopped about 14 rows into it last night, because there was a revision to the pattern sent out this morning so I only have to rip about 4 rows and since I have a lifeline in...it makes it a lot easier.

I have also been working on my second sock in my first pair of socks. I was really hoping to have them done by Sunday night, but maybe tonight or tomorrow (depending on what happens tonight...I really should start going out more and not sitting around knitting all the time...it's time to re-enter society after the breakup).

Here's my progress on the sock.

Yes, that is an empty tissue box holding my yarn, it works great! It ensures that the yarn isn't rolling all over the room. I like it...

I'll let you know when I'm done. I can't wait to finish and work on the next project.

OH I also started listening to this podcast. I thought that it might be weird to listen to a knitting podcast, I mean...how much stuff could you really learn without actually knitting or doing a project while listening to it...but I really like this one. I have only listened to the first two, but I her voice is so soothing and she just offers up some wonderful tips/books/etc. It the Knit Picks Podcast. If you only listened to episode 1, you would learn a ton about yarn. Man, the more I get into knitting the less I feel like I really know! I feel like such a slacker who just lives on the edge of the community only dabbling occasionally.

Episode 2- which I listened to today, she talked about socks...how appropriate since I am presently making my first pair of socks. I am completely interested in what she was saying about making both socks together at the same time, I'm going to have to figure that one out, cause this waiting to finish the second one, doesn't really work for an instant gratification girl like me. Don't judge, at least I know I'm impatient!
